Professional Licensure and Certification

Providence College students studying in-person on the Providence College campus are considered to be located in Rhode Island for the purposes of complying with professional licensure/certification requirements established by the U.S. Department of Education. These programs include education, nursing, and accountancy. All students have the opportunity, at any point before or during their enrollment, to inform their program’s representative that they intend to work in a non-Rhode Island location upon graduation and receive an assessment of whether or not the program leads to licensure or certification in that location.
