As part of the College's on-going efforts to promote an enhanced understanding of, and respect for, diversity in its many forms, the College has established the Bias Response Protocol (BRP) as a framework to respond effectively to incidents of bias, or perceived bias. The BRP is one of several initiatives with the goal of promoting a campus climate in which all members thrive personally, professionally, and academically. For more information, please visit the website of the Office of Institutional Diversity.
To be clear, this process is in no way intended to curb the free expression of opinions or ideas. In fact, we hope that the effective implementation of the protocol will contribute to a campus climate that encourages dialogue around challenging issues. The protocol does not replace any existing policies or procedures.
