Urban Action

Urban Action is a student-led community service club focused on serving the community outside of PC’s gates. 150 incoming freshmen move in earlier than their classmates to spend three days working at multiple sites across Rhode Island.

This year’s sites ranged from Neutaconkanut Park in Providence to The Wildlife Reservation in Newport, where the students and upperclassmen leaders performed tasks such as painting and litter pickup. Throughout the school year, there are many site visits as well. Urban Action holds Red Cup Clean-ups and various other projects such as tree planting to ensure the neighborhoods surrounding PC are clean and litter free.

Urban Action is a great way for incoming freshmen to become acclamated with their new home and an even better way to give back to this community that PC students love so much.
