S.O.A.R.  Society Organized Against Racism

The Society Organized Against Racism (SOAR) is a national organization dedicated to sharing resources and insights towards the elimination of institutional discrimination and racism in the academic community.

In keeping with this objective, the Providence College Chapter of SOAR is comprised of a culturally, politically, and spiritually diverse group of individuals that come together against the common issue of racism. SOAR aims to continue Providence College's tradition of promoting diversity and acceptance. At the same time, SOAR hopes to educate the Providence College community on current race issues and racial injustices, locally and worldwide, while promoting unity on the Providence College campus. SOAR plans events accordingly and serves as advocates for change with the overall goals of awareness within the community and the promotion of racial understanding. We plan fun and exciting events, as well as host informative and discussion-based forums.
