The Council for Exceptional Children

The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the educational success of individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. Visit  www.cec.sped.org to learn more about the organization.

The Providence College chapter makes an effort to raise awareness on campus as well as raise funds/supplies to help the community. We hold monthly meetings and have a few events each semester. Events include Special Ed Bingo, Student Disability Panel, Movie Night, Parent Panel, and the Muscular Dystrophy Walk. Membership to the PC chapter is free, but to be an official member of the national organization you must pay yearly dues. All majors are welcome!
