Cycling Club

The PCCC (Providence College Cycling club), commonly referred to as Friars on Tires, is Providence College’s group for everything cycling.   The club is great for exercising, socializing, living healthily, and learning about bikes and cycling culture.  We are dedicated to promoting fun activities, responsible riding, and competitive racing, for PC students, faculty, staff, and the general Providence area, including but not limited to, educating beginning riders and aiding in a smooth and safe transition from PC’s vast array of spin class riders from indoor bikes to outdoor riding.

The Cycling Team is the core of the club.  It involves more commitment, including all mentioned above with a stress on training, traveling and competing against other colleges/universities, and representing PC.  It is dedicated to fostering a racing team focused on developing the competitive, social, physical, mental, and moral character of PC student-cyclists, with goals of winning in the ECCC (Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference), and in national competitions.

We are grateful for, and encourage sponsorship/donations from all who  support our cause.
