American Council of Healthcare Executives

Biology Society

The Biology Society was founded to provide students (both science and non-science majors) who have an interest in biology the opportunity to explore all areas of the subject. The meetings provide opportunities for students to meet with their peers as well as their professors in a casual setting. Past activities include guest lectures, student-faculty socials, workshops with inner-city schools, as well as biology-related field trips to the Boston Museum of Science and the Mystic Aquarium.

Debate Team

The Debate Team travels to various schools for competitions around New England. The team also co-sponsors debates on campus with other clubs and organizations in relevant issues. In the past, the team has participated in the Harvard National Model United Nations. We are not a big organization, but that is not why the team exists; it's for the fun, the good times, and the experience of it all.

Education Club

The Education Club is open to all Providence College students. We are looking for energetic, dynamic people who enjoy working with their peers to educate the community around them. It is a great opportunity for students to meet new people, experience working with children, and have fun as well. Members have the opportunity to tutor at local schools, participate in Breast Cancer Awareness and Lee National Denim Day, Student Teacher banquets and events, and various fundraisers.

Future Friar Executives

Future Friar Executives (FFE) is Providence College's Business Club.  Founded in 2003, FFE is an award-winning club that provides students opportunities to gain real world business skills through various events, speakers, and workshops. FFE Web site

Johannine Society

The Providence College Johannine Society is interested in promoting historical awareness amongst the Providence College community. The club sponsors guest lectures, trips to museums and historical sites, as well as movie nights. Events are open to all, and are almost always free.

Law Society

The Law Society exists to provide students with an interest in law and legal studies a chance to expand their knowledge and understanding of the US law system. We hold group meetings, panel discussions (featuring attorneys and judges,) trips to courthouses and mock trial debates.

National Society of Collegiate Scholars

The N.S.C.S. is a nationally recognized honor society for students who excel in their first two years of college. With a belief that with scholarship comes a duty for service, the N.S.C.S. participates in many activities ranging from Special Olympics to intervening in the local school system.

Organization of Student Social Workers (OSSW)

The Organization of Student Social Workers (O.S.S.W.) is dedicated to reaching out to the community. O.S.S.W. sponsors several events throughout the year such as the AIDS quilt, a clothing drive, Christmas in April, and Adopt-A-Family. We also spend time fundraising and volunteering for community agencies and organizations.

Pershing Rifles

In 1956, Pershing Rifles had its official inauguration into the Providence College ROTC unit as Company K-12. It is a cadet-run organization dedicated to community service and leadership excellence. Over the past few years they have worked with the Lions Club and Rotary Club in cosponsoring fund-raisers for people in need.
