Dr. Matthew Eriksen​

1eriksen.jpgMatthew Eriksen is the chair of Department Management and a professor at Providence College, where he teaches courses in leadership development, self-leadership, executive coaching, organizational behavior, and social entrepreneurship.

He received his B.S. in Finance from The Pennsylvania State University, M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Rhode Island. His current scholarship is in in leadership development and Relational Leadership. He has been an associate editor of Culture and Organization and is on the editorial board of Tamara: Journal for Critical Organization Inquiry. He is a certified coach through International Coaching Federation and Coaches Training Institute.

Prior to Providence College, Matthew was a professor at University of Tampa where he was the associate director of the TECO Center for Leadership and U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Prior to joining academia, Matthew worked at Ford Motor Company as a financial analyst. In 2002-2003, he worked in the Leadership Institute at Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Matthew was a member of the team that developed TSA’s Leadership Institute and served as its Acting Director.
