2marissa.jpgWhy were you interested in taking “Leadership and Diversity?”

I took this course because I am a Leadership major. I took a Leadership Development course at CCRI in 2011 and enjoyed it so much that it led me to PC to apply for the program. It took 16 years after graduating high school to connect with a major so strongly that I would return to school with the intentions of earning a bachelor’s degree in the concentration.

How do you think this course has helped you—not just as a student, but as a person?

Being my first semester at PC, I was a tad worried about jumping right into my major with this course, but I am so glad that I did. I already feel a change in myself. I have started to rethink my goals; personally and, especially, professionally. Dr. Eriksen’s teaching far exceeds what I ever expected. I have found inspiration and drive in myself that I didn't even know I had, or was just too frightened to acknowledge. I was meant to explore the concepts of leadership because I have always had a passion for it, and this class, including Professor Eriksen's delivery of those concepts, has verified that passion.
