Signed contracts are required for all on-campus performances. The Providence College Standard Engagement Agreement has been developed and approved by the college’s legal department for this purpose and is available to student clubs and organizations in the SAIL Office. If a performer prefers to use his or her own contract, it must be reviewed by the college’s attorney (encourage your students to allow ample time for the review process prior to an event, as it may be time consuming).
A few policies to note in regard to contracts:
• All contracts and riders must be signed by a member of the SAIL Office staff , or the Vice President or Associate Vice President of Student Affairs Administration; students may not sign any of these legal documents
• The college does not permit performers or vendors to be paid prior to an event – please have your student organization make arrangements to pay after a performance has taken place
• No performers or vendors should ever be paid in cash
• Please have students carefully read any signed contracts or riders to ensure that the expectations of the performer or vendor are met in regard to sound requirements, meals, equipment, etc…
