Parking is available to employees
WITH parking permits in the following lots, depending on employment status with the college:
PLEASE NOTE: When applying for a parking pass using a Mac Computer, you must use Chrome or Firefox. Safari is not compatible with the parking pass system.
All faculty and staff members are eligible to park on campus at no cost but only after applying for and receiving a parking sticker. These stickers will be valid for the entire academic school year.
Parking and operating a motor vehicle, on the Providence College campus, is a privilege, not a right, and constitutes acceptance by the individual of the responsibility to ensure that his or her vehicle is neither parked nor operated in violation of any of the College regulations.
A parking permit allows a faculty and staff member to park on campus but does not guarantee a parking space.
Newly hired faculty or staff may apply for a parking permit at any time.
PLEASE NOTE: The application can be done from any computer and no longer requires the use of an on-campus computer. We do not charge for a permit.
All mandatory fields must be completed so that the application process can successfully proceed. Print and retain the voucher (final page in application process) for your records.
IMPORTANT: Permits can only be obtained through the below link and will be issued by the Office of Safety and Security.
APPLY FOR A PARKING PASS?
Stickers must be placed on the lower left part of the driver’s side windshield. The sticker is not to be removed or transferred. A replacement sticker may be obtained for a newly purchased vehicle or a replacement windshield at the Office of Safety and Security.

Parking violations are classified as major or minor infractions. Both categories carry fines ranging from $10.00 to $50.00. A vehicle immobilization or “Boot” violation is $100.00
Ticket Payments or Disputes
All fines must be paid within seven days of issue. Fines can be mailed or paid in person at the Office of Safety & Security, during the hours of 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. If you choose to dispute the violation, ticket disputes will be heard Monday through Friday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm only.
“Booting” / Towing
All illegally parked vehicles are subject to be “Booted” or towed. Providence College is not responsible for damage to a vehicle during towing and storage. Vehicles parked on campus or on College owned property may be “Booted” or towed at the owner’s expense when:
Due to inclement weather, students and faculty/staff are advised to call the weather line at 865-1012 for information regarding school closings and class cancellations. In the event of a snow emergency, vehicles need to be moved and students and faculty/staff must listen to the snow line instructions in order to know when plowing will be conducted in each parking lot.
