Welcome to the Providence College Department of Public Safety. Public Safety operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

"Working Together For A Safe Campus"

The mission of the Providence College Department of Public Safety is to safeguard members of the College community, to protect private and institutional property, and to prevent crime.  The Department of Public Safety strives to maintain an atmosphere of professionalism, courtesy and respect, while embracing diversity through community engagement, and hiring and training practices that enhance the overall mission of the Division of Student Affairs and Providence College.

Annual Security Report

As provided by the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act of 1998, prospective students and employees are entitled to request and receive a copy of the College’s Annual Security Report. The report includes statistics for the past three years concerning crimes (whether they occurred on campus, in off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by the College, or on public property adjacent to campus) reported to campus security authorities. Each report also provides campus policies and practices concerning security – how to report sexual assault and other crimes, crime prevention efforts, policies/laws governing alcohol and drugs, victims’ assistance programs, student discipline, campus resources, and other matters. The Security Report is available on-line through the following link:
