Raymond Hall houses approximately 190 female, first-year students. Housing options include triple and quad rooms and a limited number of double rooms. Raymond Hall also is home to Raymond Dining Hall and the Providence College Post Office. The bathrooms in Raymond Hall were completely renovated in 2011.
Raymond Hall opened in 1959 and was originally an all male residence hall as well as one of the infirmaries on campus. It was introduced as a revolutionary and modern dining experience for up to 1,000 students. The hallways were painted with five different color schemes and rooms varied based on 6 different patterns. The building is named after Saint Raymond and also has ties to Father James Raymond Meagher.
