Residence Hall Staff

Residence hall staffs are available to support the needs of the first-year student. Each community has its own staff dedicated to making your new living experience both fun and productive. Here are some of the people you will be getting to know during your first year at Providence:

The Complex Director: a full-time, live-in professional with a bachelor's or master's degree in higher education administration, counseling or related fields and has previous residence life experience. Complex Directors strive to build a community where students can practice morally-responsible, independent living, and succeed in their academic pursuits.

The Graduate Hall Director: a graduate student who provides support to the Complex Director by providing opportunities for growth and learning, reinforcing community expectations, and assisting in supervising the residence hall staff.

Resident Assistants (RA): undergraduate students who provide support, mentoring, and opportunities for residents to connect with each other, faculty and staff through programming and involvement opportunities in the residence community and around campus. RAs live in the residence halls with their students and provide duty coverage.

Head Resident Assistants (HRA): selected resident assistants who are responsible for the administrative, helping, and community development duties within the hall and serve as the liaison between the Hall Director/Complex Director and resident assistant team.
