Office Materials


Printer and Toner Cartridges: All types and brands of printer and toner cartridges from computer printers, fax machines, etc., are accepted for recycling. 

Floppy Disks, CD's & DVD's: All 3 1/2" floppy disks are accepted for recycling, including program start-up disks. CD's/DVD's can be recycled as well.

Overhead Transparencies, Microfilm, and Microfiche: All used transparencies are accepted for recycling.  These materials are sent to 3M Corporation, where they are remade into various products, such as fiber fill, carpeting, automotive products, insulation and more transparency film.


Recycle these items on campus at the locations below: 

  • All items can be sent to us via inter-office mail (Attention: Recycling Program, Office of Environmental Health and Safety) or dropped off at the Recycling Center, located in Harkins LL18.

  • You can recycle floppy disks, CD's, DVD's, and inkjet cartridges in the receptacle in the Accino elevator lobby. There is also is also a space for used alkaline batteries.

  • The Recycling center across from PC Perk has a collection area for "mixed electronics", which includes floppy disks, CD's and DVD's. There is also a space for alkaline batteries.


Office Clean-Outs

Are you doing an office clean-out?  Instead of throwing away all that paper, we can provide you with paper roll out totes to recycle all your paper.

Please call the Recycling Program at ext. 1881 and we will deliver you a paper recycling tote.  When done, give us a call, and we will come pick it up for you.
