April 16, 2009: Psi Chi Induction Ceremony
After a moving presentation by Dr. Linda Woolf of Webster University on how each one of us can combat the evil in our world, we proudly welcomed 18 new members into our chapter. In addtion, four new officers were installed and graduating members were presented with cords to wear at graduation.

Qualifications for membership:
- Completion of at least 3 semesters of college.
- Completion of 9 semester hours of psychology.
- A major in psychology.
- A 3.25 or better average in psychology courses.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.25 or better.
- A ranking in the top 35% of your class.
- High standards of personal behavior.
- Two-thirds affirmative vote of those present at a regular meeting of the chapter.

Psi Chi members hosted this event to help students register for the fall semester. They dished out advice on courses, professors, and opportunities available to psychology majors, as well as plenty of ice cream!Eastern Psychological Conference
Co-president Amanda Colletti '09 (along with Dr. Van Reet and Lindsay Maurio '09) attended the annual meeting of the Eastern Psychological Association this March.
Amanda met and shared ideas with other chapter presidents and leaders of the Psi Chi organization, and she and Lindsay presented the research they conducted in Dr. Van Reet's Experimental Child Psychology Lab.
