Area(s) of Expertise:

Fr. Guido holds a joint appointment as Senior Staff Psychologist with the Personal Counseling Center and as Assistant Professor (with Tenure) in the Department of Psychology. He completed his internship at Harvard University and a postdoctoral fellowship at the Danielsen Institute at Boston University. He has three distinct areas of interest and expertise: contemporary psychoanalytic and psychodynamic theory and therapy; the psychology of trauma; and the role that religion and spirituality can play in coping with adverse experience. In the broadest sense, he wants to understand how human beings are affected by adversity, and how faith can affect an individual's healing and growth.
