Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing ministry. Habitat seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from the world, and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action. Habitat depends on volunteers to work together in partnership to help build houses with families in need. Habitat has built nearly 60,000 houses around the world, providing some 300,000 people in more than 2,000 communities with safe, decent, affordable shelter. Habitat has affiliates all over the world.

"What impresses me the most is the resilience of the families, their faith life, they don't ask for much, they don't have much...They challenge me to live my life simply," Cathy McElroy, Family Selection Chair HFH.
