Political Science Data Center
The Political Science Data and Research Center, located on the third floor of Howley Hall, is a computer "mini-lab" run under the joint auspices of the Political Science Department and the College's Computer Services Department. The Data Center has eight computer terminals for student and faculty use, as well as a collection of computer publications, scholarly journals, and technical manuals.
The Data Center maintains a staff of student assistants, to aid faculty and students in research and software use and to answer any questions about the department. The Center provides an informal atmosphere in which students can work on computers and meet other Majors.
The Center remains open during business hours all year round, and some evenings during the academic year. Please check with the Political Science Department office for an update on hours of operation. The collection of data sets include the following:

Several statistical and database software packages are available for manipulating data files, along with DBMS/Copy, a utility for converting data across over 60 file formats. The Data Center also contains a collection of freeware and shareware utilities and documentation.
