Academic Information

Prior to Orientation, you will need to complete appropriate placement tests and surveys. Complete details will be included in the Orientation packet mailed home to you in May.

MATH PLACEMENT EXAM (Required of all majors)
These results, in combination with a review of your high school background and SAT and other test scores, will allow us to pre-register you into a mathematics course if it is required for your major. You will have an opportunity to adjust your schedule during your Advising & Registration Day if you think your placement is incorrect.

LANGUAGE PLACEMENT EXAMS (Optional)
If you have studied Spanish, Italian, and/or French in high school, we urge you to complete the Placement Exam in the language(s) you studied. This will ensure that you enroll in the appropriate level if you decide to continue your language studies.

PRE-ORIENTATION SURVEY FOR UNDECLARED STUDENTS (Required of all Undeclared majors)
This survey will assist us in pre-registering you in courses appropriate to explore your interests.

Please check the envelope enclosed in your Orientation mailing for information on how to access the items listed above.
