NBC Nightly News Segment Features PC’s Commencement

Viola Davis’ address during Providence College’s Ninety-Fourth Commencement Exercises was included in the annual tribute to college graduates that aired on NBC’s Nightly News on June 8.

A five-minute compilation of video clips from graduation ceremonies around the country featured Davis speaking at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center on May 20, telling PC’s graduates, “You see, the two most important days in your life are the day you were born and the day you discover why you were born.”

News anchor Brian Williams '02Hon. introduced the segment, noting that it was a yearly tradition to salute graduating classes around the nation.
