​PC's Liturgical Choir is one of the groups that will perform at Lessons and

‘Lessons and Carols’ in St. Dominic Chapel will begin Advent Season

“Lessons and Carols,” Providence College’s signature event marking the start of the Advent season, will be held on Saturday, December 1, at 7 p.m. in St. Dominic Chapel. The public is welcome. 

College President Rev. Brian J. Shanley, O.P. ’80 will preside at the service, at which students, faculty, and staff will read from the Old Testament and New Testament.

Choral responses will be sung by the Providence College Liturgical Choir and Schola Cantorum, directed by Sherry Humes Dane, director of liturgical music in the Office of the Chaplain/Campus Ministry, and by I Cantori and The Concert Chorale, directed by Dr. Todd J. Harper, assistant professor of music.

A reception will follow in the Campus Ministry Center.
