Exhibit Honors Ruane's Contributions to PC
The Phillips Memorial Library is displaying an exhibit on the life and work of Board of Trustees Chair Michael A. Ruane ’71 in recognition of his contributions to Providence College.
The exhibit includes Ruane’s biography and descriptions of contributions he and his wife, Elizabeth, have made to the College, a watercolor sketch of the Ruane Center for the Humanities, now under construction, and images of the groundbreaking ceremony.
In addition to serving PC as a member of the Providence College Corporation and as chair of the Board of Trustees, Ruane has supported the women’s ice hockey team and established an endowed chair in business. He also donated a major leadership gift to construct the Ruane Center and has contributed to the atrium of the Concannon Fitness Center.
The exhibit is open to the general public and the PC community. For library hours, call 401-865-2242 or check the library’s Web site.
