Celebrating with the Class of 2013

Three days of celebration marked Commencement Weekend for the Providence College Class of 2013.

It began with the ROTC Commissioning on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday morning, top students were honored at the Academic Awards Ceremony in the Peterson Recreation Center. More than 4,000 graduating seniors and their families attended the Commencement Mass on Saturday afternoon, followed by a reception on the Slavin Center Lawn.

On Sunday in the Dunkin’ Donuts Center, 1,093 degrees were awarded to 869 undergraduates, 177 graduate students, and 42 students in the School of Continuing Education. The featured commencement speaker was the Rev. Robert E. Barron, founder of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries and one of five people awarded an honorary degree.
