The Book Loan Program

The Thomas J. Rapoza Textbook Collection Program

Tom began his career with Barnes & Noble in 1981 and worked at the Providence College Bookstore during his junior and senior years. After graduation, he served the company proudly for 22 years until his passing in 2005. Tom was an accounting major at Providence College, but will best be remembered by his family, friends and colleagues as a kind and gentle man with a deep belief in God, with great love for his wife and daughter, with a great sense of humor and a love of all things Red Sox! His time at Providence College was marked by academic achievement and spirited camaraderie with his friends and Raymond Hall roommates.

The Thomas J. Rapoza Textbook Collection will be housed in the Philips Memorial Library and provide academic resources to all students who have an expressed textbook need. The academic resources are free of charge and on a first come first serve basis. Students who have a need must make a request online.

Within 24-hours your request may be filled based on resource availability. Please be aware that book exchanges during drop/add period is subject to book availability.

We hope your academic career at Providence College is filled with the same joy and excitement that Tom enjoyed during his four years here.
