The Four Year Plan

The life readiness chart is a four-year development model for all scholarship participants to accomplish while in attendance.  The chart is a teaching guide to assist students reach their full potential and demand more from their academic environment.  Each year, students are challenged to achieve different objectives with the end result of personal growth, leadership development, and a greater appreciation for the global society.

In August prior to the academic year, first year students are invited to participate in a scholarship sponsored transition program. Participating students are allowed to move into dorm room earlier and settle in to their new community.

All first-year students are required to meet with Dean Walsh throughout their first year on campus.  During these discussions careful attention is placed on academic progress, goal setting, and personal concerns.  These open discussions provide individualized support to students as they navigate their college career, choose majors, plan coursework, prepare for off-campus study and build lifelong relationships.

Dean Walsh emphasizes personal integrity in students' academic and personal development.
