Adult Literacy

Adult Literacy is a wonderful club that really benefits everyone involved. We tutor adults with disabilities and teach them things such as math, reading, writing or even just coloring. Each adult gets paired up with a PC student to tutor. We try to keep the same pairs together each week so these two people can build a strong relationship and really get to know each other throughout the semester. On holidays we have parties with the adults which include food, music and fun! Everyone really looks forward to these celebrations as we are honoring the hard work everyone puts into tutoring every week. One of the most appealing parts of Adult Literacy is the adults we are blessed to work with. They always walk into the classroom with a smile on their face, eager and ready to learn! Without the amazing attitudes from the adults, the club would find as much success as it does!
Adult Literacy meets Tuesday and Wednesday nights in Feinstein (room 116) from 7-8.

Please contact Katherine Mahder if you are interested in volunteering!
