Providence College’s School of Continuing Education Reaches Transfer Agreement with Bristol Community College
Providence, R.I. – In an effort to offer more students the opportunity to earn a Providence College degree, the School of Continuing Education (SCE) has reached an agreement with Bristol Community College of Fall River, Mass., (BCC) that will ease the way for students to earn their bachelor’s degree in liberal studies.
The agreement became effective October 30, 2012 and covers BCC students who have completed their associate’s degree in general studies (MassTransfer), completed a minimum of 60 semester hours, and maintained a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0. These students will be automatically accepted into SCE’s degree program. (MassTransfer is a statewide program that guarantees admission, credit, and a tuition benefit for students transferring from a community college to one of the state colleges or universities.)
BCC students can apply for a transfer student scholarship through the SCE and they can transfer in a maximum of 75 credits toward the bachelor's degree.
In addition to Fall River, BCC has locations in Attleboro and New Bedford.
