Providence College to Receive Environmental Award from Save the Bay

bay.jpgProvidence, R.I. – Providence College has been selected as a recipient of the 2013 Environmental Achievement Award from Save the Bay, the non-profit environmental advocacy and educational organization that protects, preserves and improves Rhode Island's Narragansett Bay. The award will be presented at Save the Bay’s annual meeting on Thursday, May 23, 2013.

Dominican Music Professor to Retire after 38 Years at Providence College

himrod.jpgProvidence, R.I. – Sister Gail Himrod, O.P., an associate professor of music at Providence College will be retiring after this semester. Sr. Himrod has been an integral part of the Music Department at PC since joining the faculty in September, 1974. At that time, it was a music program and the first year of the music major.
