SCE Scholarship Gift Announced
Providence, R.I. – Jan. 9, 2017 - Providence College (PC) today announced that its School of Continuing Education (SCE) has received a gift to support a new scholarship fund designated for veterans of military service who attend SCE.

Providence College Receives Prestigious Clare Boothe Luce Grant
Providence, RI - Providence College (PC) today announced that it has been chosen to receive its first major grant from the Clare Boothe Luce Program at the Henry Luce Foundation. The program is the largest source of private funding for women studying science, mathematics and engineering.

"Truth in the Liberal Arts" Honors Symposium
Providence, RI - Noted historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author Doris Kearns Goodwin will kick off the Providence College Liberal Arts Honors Symposium, to be held the weekend of October 21 and 22 at the College.

Providence College to Host Millennial Alumni Authors
Providence, R.I. - Providence College (PC) is scheduled to host their second Veritas and Values program- “Published & Proud: Millennial Alumni Authors and their stories,” on October 17, 2016 at 6:30p.m. The panel discussion will take place in the Ruane Center for the Humanities.

Providence College Breaks Ground for Ruane Friar Development Center
Providence, R.I. – Providence College (PC) broke ground today for the Ruane Friar Development Center, a new, multi-purpose facility attached to Alumni Hall. The first phase will include a basketball practice facility and space for associated Department of Athletics activities. The two-story facility will enhance significantly Friar athletics, student services, and College community life.

Providence College Turns 100: Be a part of the Centennial Celebration
Providence, R.I. - When the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year begins later this month, Providence College will mark the 100th anniversary of its founding. To celebrate this historic milestone, the College will host events honoring its century of academic excellence and meaningful service in the Catholic and Dominican tradition.
Providence, R.I. – Providence College students annually volunteer nearly 50,000 hours at more than 125 community agencies, schools, and other non-profit sites in Greater Providence. Volunteer service is provided through the Office of the Chaplain/Campus Ministry, the Office of Student Affairs, the Feinstein Institute for Public Service, the Student Athlete Advisory Board, and many of the College's student clubs, organizations, and service learning classes.
Providence, R.I. – Providence College affirmed today that it will close permanently the College-owned portion of Huxley Ave. (Eaton Street to Ventura Street) to all vehicular traffic on Wednesday, May 18th. PC had previously announced in February its intention to close the College-owned portion of the street sometime between May 15th and June 1st.
