Immigration Reform
U.S. Senate Vote

Dr. Jeffrey Pugh, assistant professor of political science at Providence College

The U.S. Senate has passed a sweeping immigration reform bill. The reform is set to implement a mandatory, national employment verification system, allow for more legal immigration of low- and high-skilled workers, beef up border security and eventually give green cards to most of the nation's 11 million unauthorized immigrants.

Dr. Jeffrey Pugh is an assistant professor of political science at Providence College and can provide expert analysis on immigration reform. To speak with him directly, please contact Chrissy Centazzo at (401)-340-5710, or ccentazz@providence.edu
