Lynch ’13, Moloy ’13 Solidify Deep Friar Roots as Roommates
Providence, R.I. - Though not pressured to join the “family ranks” and enroll at Providence College as freshmen, Danica M. Lynch ’13 (Westerly, R.I.) and Julie A. Moloy ’13 (Westwood, Mass.) immediately discovered their “home” at PC — and an abiding friendship with it.

Annie Wendel ’13 Awarded Fulbright Teaching Assistantship to Nepal
Providence, R.I. - Come to Providence College and see the world — that’s what Annie Wendel ’13 did. Wendel (Ridgefield, Conn.) spent eight weeks during the summer of 2011 working in social justice ministries in Australia and teaching at a boarding school in the Solomon Islands. During the spring semester in 2012, she studied abroad in South Africa while teaching seventh-graders and visiting Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Fitzgerald ’13 Battles Bottled Water
Providence, R.I. - Sarah Fitzgerald ’13 (Lewisville, Texas) doesn’t take water for granted. As a Providence College freshman, she was inspired by a documentary she watched during World Water Week about Bolivian people rising up against a corporation that controlled the public’s access to drinking water.

Beatriz Forster ’13 Discerns a Call to Become a Religious Sister
Providence, R.I. - Beatriz Forster ’13— who loves history, writing, and expressing her opinions — arrived at Providence College with many expectations. Graduating a year early to join a religious order wasn’t among them. But on August 15, the Feast of the Assumption, Forster (Bethesda, Md.) will join the Dominican Sisters of Saint Cecilia in Nashville, Tenn., for her first year of religious formation, a process that takes seven years to complete.

Ciorlano ’13SCE Realizes Life Dream with ‘Cheerleader’s’ Guidance
Providence, R.I. - The train trips from Providence to New Jersey were well worth it for Lorraine J. Ciorlano ’13SCE. So was plowing through 300-page books in a week while working full time and taking classes.
Providence, R.I. - Nathan Holterman ’13 (Peoria, Ill.) remembers the first time he saw Providence College. He was a senior at Fenwick High School, the Dominican high school in Oak Park, Ill. It was April 25, 2009, six days before the deadline for selecting a college for the fall, and he still hadn’t made his choice.
