Northeastern Section NExT

In 2002 the Northeastern Section began its program of Section NExT activities for new and relatively new colleagues. NExT stands for New Experiences in Teaching. By providing talks and workshops on issues of interest, opportunities to meet and share ideas with other new colleagues, and an introduction into Section activities, we hope to assist new faculty in their transition from graduate school to professional academic life. We welcome all untenured full time faculty, both those who have and have not been National NExT fellows.

The Section NExT activities generally consist of a short program during the morning and/or early afternoon of the Fridays of regular Northeastern Section meetings. The programs usually consist of a presentation, a discussion, lunch, and another presentation. The Section NExT activities are free.

If you are interested in the Section NExT activities, please contact Karen Stanish of Keene State College at kstanish@keene.edu. To register for the program at the next section meeting, you should contact Karen and you should also register for the Section meeting and check off that you will be participating in the Section NExT program. The registration forms will be available in the Section Newsletter and on the website. If you do not receive a Newsletter, indicate that to Karen.
