Setting up PC email on iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

 


For Students:

 
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Choose Add Account...
  4. Choose Microsoft Exchange.
  5. In the Email field, enter your email address.
  6. In the Server field, enter outlook.office365.com
  7. Leave the Domain field blank.
  8. In the Username field, enter your full email address.
  9. In the Password field, enter your password.
  10. Enter whatever you want in the Description field.
  11. Make sure Use SSL is turned ON.
 


 


For Faculty and Staff:

 
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  3. Choose Add Account...
  4. Choose Microsoft Exchange.
  5. In the Email field, enter your email address.
  6. In the Server field, enter post.providence.edu.
  7. In the Domain field, enter providence.
  8. In the Username field, enter your username (the part of your email address before the @ symbol).
  9. In the Password field, enter your password.
  10. Enter whatever you want in the Description field.
  11. Make sure Use SSL is turned ON.

Setting up PC email on Android devices

 

Please note that the instructions here may not work on all Android devices as there are many different variations of software versions and hardware.

 

 

 

 
For Students:

 
  1. Go to Email, under apps.
  2. Enter your Email Address and Password and choose Manual setup.
  3. When asked which type of account choose Exchange.
  4. Under Domain\Username delete what is shown by default and enter: USERNAME@friars.providence.edu (USERNAME is your email user name).
  5. Enter your email password in the field.
  6. Delete what is shown by default under Server and enter outlook.office365.com.
  7. Check the box next to both Use Secure Connection (SSL) and Accept all SSL certificates.
  8. Select Next and wait for the synch to finish.
  9. If asked to allow Remote security administration, choose OK.
  10. Choose the Account options that you prefer and select Next.
  11. You may give your account a name, then select Done
 


 

For Faculty and Staff:

 
  1. Go to Email, under apps.

Connecting to PC-Secure on iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch

 
  1. Go to Settings.
  2. Choose Wi-Fi.
  3. Tap on PC-Secure.
  4. Enter your network username and password when prompted (this would be the same username and password you use for Sakai).
  5. Tap Accept when prompted with the certificate.
  6. You should now be connected and your device will automatically connect whenever you are on campus.
