How to Clear Your Web Browser Cache
Microsoft Windows
Internet Explorer
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on the gear on the upper right side or the Tools menu.
- Select Internet Options
- Under Browsing History, select Delete.
- Make sure Preserve Favorites website data is unchecked.
- Make sure Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History are checked.
- Click Delete.
- Click OK.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox.
- Click on the Firefox Menu in the upper left.
- Hover over History with the mouse cursor an allow the sub-menu to expand.
- Click Clear Recent History.
- Set Time range to clear Everything.
- Make sure the following items are check off under Details: Browsing and Download History, Form and Search History, Cookies, Cache, Active Logins.
- Click Clear Now.
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the Settings icon in the upper right hand corner.
- Select History.
- Under the Personal Stuff tab, click Clear browsing data.
- Make sure the following items are checked: Cleran browsing history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies.
- Make sure under Clear data from this period that Everything is selected.
- Click Clear Browsing Data.
Safari
- Open Safari.
- Click on the gear.
- Select Reset Safari.
- Make sure the following are checked: Clear History, Empty the cache, Remove all cookies.
- Click Reset.
MacOS X
Safari
- Open Safari
- Click Safari on the menu bar.
- Select Empty Cache.
- Select Empty.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open Firefox.
- Click on the Tools menu.
- Click Clear Recent History.
- Make sure the following items are checked: Clear browsing history, Empty the cache, Delete cookies.
- Make sure under Clear data from this period that Everything is selected.
- Click Clear Now.
Google Chrome
- Open Google Chrome.
- Click on the Chrome menu.
- Click Clear Browsing Data.
- Make sure the following items are checked: Clear browsing history, Empty the cache, Deleted cookies.
- Make sure under Clear data from this period that Everything is selected.
- Click Clear Browsing Data.
