Transcript​ Request Information

 

​Transcript Ordering Options: 


​Providence College offers multiple options for the ordering and delivery of transcripts for current and former students. Transcripts are free of charge, with the exception of E-Transcripts.  This service has a charge of $4.00 per recipient.

Option 1: E-Transcript​ Providence College has authorized the National Student Clearinghouse to provide a 24/7 transcript ordering service to our current and former students.  
E-Transcript Delivery is ONLY available to students enrolled since 1988.  

Option 2: Cyber Friar​ Username and password are necessary to access our system, for assistance call 401-865-1033.

Option 3: E-mail records@providence.edu and attach your Transcript Request Form​ or provide a document with the required information, listed at the bottom of the page.  All requests via E-mail must come from a recognizable E-mail address (this means the student’s name must be part of the E-mail address). 

Option 4: Fax 401-865-1899 and follow-up with a phone call to 401-865-1033 to confirm delivery.

Option 5: Mail - Please address your transcript request​ to:

Option 6: In-Person – Current students may come to the Office of Enrollment Services, Harkins Hall 310, to complete a transcript request form and make arrangements to return to pick-up the transcript at a later time.  An unofficial transcript can be issued on the spot.  A photo ID must be presented to pick up any transcript in person.​

Transcripts will not be issued to students with holds on their records, until all requirements have been met. 
 
All transcript requests must be accompanied by an authorized signature of the requestor.  

Due to the high volume of requests, there is a limit of five (5) transcripts per month.  

We do not accept telephone requests, nor will we E-mail or fax transcripts from this office. 

Transcript requests are processed in the order in which they are received.  The time required for preparation and mailing of transcripts varies; please allow 3-5 business days for processing. During registration, the start of a new semester, or at the end of grading periods, there may be a delay of several days.  Please order ahead to meet all deadlines. 

If you are a current student and want the semester grades to appear on your transcript, please select the “hold for grades” option. Transcripts with final grades will be ready approximately three (3) weeks after the end of the semester.  

When requesting transcripts via E-Mail, Fax, Mail or In-Person - you must submit a Transcript Request Form​ or provide a document that contains the following information.  

Transcript Requests should include:
  • Current name (First, Middle, Last)
  • Any names(s) you may have had while attending (ex: Maiden Name)
  • Your current address
  • Birthdate and the last 4 digits of your social security number
  • Telephone number or email address
  • Graduation year and dates of attendance
  • Number of copies needed
  • Address to which the transcript is to be sent
  • Your handwritten signature is required
