A series of roundtable discussions for Providence College faculty. These discussions are facilitated by faculty colleagues with a range of experiences and expertise.During the 2012-2013 academic year, the several of our Teaching Tools session will focus on Student Engagement, a theme that has been promoted campus wide for the last three years through a Davis Educational Foundation grant. Discover the Secrets to Effective Oral Presentations

While oral presentations can be a way for students to demonstrate their knowledge or mastery of subject matter, they can also turn into barely audible PowerPoint-heavy presentations. We will explore the importance of delivery, and how to assess oral presentations beyond content.

Reading and Understanding Primary Texts
