Community Service
What Does Service Mean at Providence College?
Providence College believes that acts of community service by its students, faculty, and staff should be performed intentionally to meet individual and collective needs identified and articulated by those we serve. As an investment in our shared community, our service is most perfectly realized when it creates productive partnerships, builds positive relationships, and is mutually beneficial to those serving and being served.
Providence College embraces and supports these acts of service as tangible expressions of our mission-stated commitment to recognize "the unity of the human family that proceeds from its one Creator" and to encourage "the deepest respect for the essential dignity, freedom, and equality of every person." (PC Mission Statement)
