It's one of Providence College’s most popular weekends of the year: Alumni & Family Weekend. The weekend will feature sporting events, great entertainment, highlights of our facilities, family-friendly programs, and much more.

I Used to Dance When I Was Young: A Look at the “Francis Effect” on the Life of the Church

Center for Catholic and Dominican Studies
The emergence of Pope Francis as a worldwide icon for reform and renewal has turned many eyes on the life of the Church.  His humility and populist appeal has won over the hearts of many.  In this talk, Fr. Pivarnik, vice president for mission and ministry, will look at the reality of what has been called the “Francis Effect” and what it means for the life of the Church.

The PC Department of Athletics will honor three of PC's greatest basketball players - John Thompson `64 and the late Jim Hadnot `62 and Andrea Mangum `90 - and the late Chris Clark, a longtime Friar radio and television play-by-play broadcaster.
