This year's Academic Convocation will include a focus on the themes and topics related to The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks--the chosen book for the Freshman Common Reading Program. Dr. Charles Toth, associate professor of biology, will deliver the keynote address.

​Mass of the Holy Spirit to Welcome New Students and Their Families


Marking the arrival of the Class of 2016, a Mass of the Holy Spirit to Welcome New Students and Their Families will take place in the Peterson Recreation Center on Wednesday, August 29th, at 2:00 p.m.

Academic Convocation

111convocation.jpgThe Academic Convocation will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at 3 p.m. The event will be designed for new members of our community — students in the Class of 2016, transfer students, and new faculty members. It is open to the entire community. Convocation will be followed by a reception at 4:30 p.m. on Slavin Lawn (weather permitting).

*A separate event is being planned to honor faculty who have recently been promoted and/or received tenure.

*PLEASE NOTE* - Due to inclement weather, Freshmen and New Transfer Students will gather in Mullaney Gymnasium at 2:15 p.m., and the reception will be held in the Upper Slavin Center.

Time: 3 p.m. (assembly begins at 2:30)

Location: Peterson Field House

Rain Site for Freshmen and New Transfer Students Gathering Site at 2:15 p.m.: Mullaney Gymnasium

Faculty and Administration Vesting Site: Peterson Fieldhouse Racquetball Courts
