The Office of Naval Research (ONR) sponsors the Summer Faculty Research Program and Sabbatical Leave Program for those who hold teaching and/or research appointments at US colleges and universities.

The NASA Faculty Fellowship program offers US citizens who hold faculty positions at colleges and universities hands-on exposure to NASA's research challenges through 10-week summer research residencies at participating centers.
