The Catholic and Dominican character of Providence College precisely as a college is most evident in its approach to faith and reason.
Catholic and Dominican
Some of the aspects of Providence College's Catholic and Dominican identity are obvious. For example, the friars in their habits on campus are hard to miss.
Catholic and Dominican Identity
Providence College aims at something ambitious and critically important. It attempts to provide an education for the whole person -- body, mind and soul.

Did you know?
Realizing a decades-old dream for a large, self-standing chapel, Providence College in February 2001 proudly dedicated St. Dominic Chapel -- the campus’s new 20,000-square-foot sacred space in which the community comes together in worship and prayer.
With seating for up to 600, the chapel is situated on the southern corner of campus, in close proximity to many of the residence facilities.
