Workshop: Intercultural Proficiency

Don Brown spent more than three decades with Time Inc. (U.S, Hong Kong, Japan, Canada) during which time he held numerous management positions-primarily for Time Magazine, but also served three years in the mid-80’s as Manufacturing Director for People Magazine, where he contributed to record cost savings. During his publishing career, Brown has been recognized for outstanding performance on numerous occasions-including being the recipient of the prestigious Briton Hadden Award, given annually to that individual who demonstrates the highest integrity in building relationships for Time Inc. As an adjunct professor at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs(SIPA), as well as Managing Director for the consultancy he formed in 2001 (International Magazine Publishing), Brown has led numerous seminars on branding, market positioning, advertising sales, and leadership. A 1963 graduate of Providence College, Brown is married 40 years to his wife Susan, has two grown children and resides on Long Island New York.
