Student Loans​

Welcome to the Student Loan website. We are responsible for processing all Federal Student Loans which includes the Federal Direct Subsidized and/or Unsubsidized Loan (also known as a Stafford Loan), the Federal Direct Parent Plus Loan and the Federal Perkins Loan.

ATTENTION GRADUATING SENIORS

If you have been a recipient of a Federal Direct Loan and/or a Federal Perkins Loan, you are required to complete online loan exit requirements.  Please check your Providence College email for instructions.

Important Information for 2013-2014 Parent PLUS Loans

The process of applying for the Parent PLUS loan has changed for the 2013-2014 academic year. The application is now a fully automated online process. For complete details please see the Federal Direct Parent Plus Loan Page

Important Information for Incoming Students

Any student that has been awarded a Direct Student Loan or a Perkins loan is required to complete Entrance Counseling and a Master Promissory Note. Emails are sent from the Student Loan office with instructions in the beginning of July. Below are the links for the requirements. For further information see the Federal Direct Student Loans page or the Federal Perkins Loans page. Please note you will need your FAFSA Pin to complete your requirements (see below).

 FAFSA PIN Information

If you do not know your FAFSA pin number you will need to visit the PIN Number website at www.pin.ed.gov

  • Once on the site select the option for a duplicate pin number from the list on the left of the screen
  • Enter in the required information and answer the security question. The US Dept of Education will display your PIN number immediately.
