Teaching

I have always received great enjoyment in the time spent in the classroom teaching and conversing with students and I have always attempted to impart my enthusiasm for science to my students. I have developed and taught a variety of courses to both biology majors as well as non-majors in the Biology Department. These courses all emphasize basic biological principles, concepts, terminology, scientific methodology and experimental design. The following is a list of the more recent courses I have taught. Research Interests

One of my primary research interests involved the role played by the isoenzymes of tryosinase in the pigmentation patterns observed in mice. Over the years, I have also participated in a number of student research projects in the area of genetics employing numerous procedures and technologies such as tissue culture, chromosome analaysis (karyotyping).
