During the summer of 2001 Strasser led an excavation on Crete at the Mesolithic site of

Damnoni where 5 PC students participated.

i) Attended the Managing Committee of the Institute for Aegean Prehistory’s Study

Center of East Crete Study this June.

ii) Reviewed a grant for The European Research Council. iii) Reviewed an article for The Journal of Field Archaeology

§    Lectures:

Chosen as a national speaker for the Lecture Program of the Archaeological Institute of

America for 2011-12.

“Crete before the Cretans:  New Evidence for Stone Age Mariners in the

Mediterranean.” Presented to the Ifigenia Apartments in Plakias, Crete.
