Early Action Deadline Extension
As many students, high school counselors, and recommenders continue to experience technical issues with the Common Application, Providence College has extended our Early Action deadline to Friday, November 8.
In order to be sure that your application receives our full and holistic review, and that you still receive notification of your decision by January 1, we ask that you submit your Common Application and Providence College Writing Supplement by Friday, November 8. We are asking that supporting credentials from your high school (Secondary School Report, transcript, recommendations) follow as soon as possible.
If you are planning to apply at the Early Action deadline and have been able to successfully utilize the Common Application, we encourage you to submit your application as soon as possible rather than waiting until the actual deadline date of November 8. However, please know that all applications submitted by November 8 will receive full consideration for admission without penalty.
You will be notified via postcard when we receive your application and will also receive an e-mail message detailing your application status (complete, incomplete, and which pieces are missing) later in November. At this time, we anticipate that decision letters for all Early Action applicants will still be released by January 1.
Should you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the Office of Admission at (401) 865-2535 or (800) 721-6444 to speak with a member of the counseling staff.
Best wishes as you complete your Common Application and continue with your college search process.
