Advanced Credit


Providence College recognizes the International Baccalaureate and grants cource credit and/or advanced placement for those who submit their High Level exams scores. The College also grants credit and/or advanced placement for those who submit their Advanced Plancement (AP) test scores. Evaluation is made by the Office of the Dean of Undergradaute and Graduate Students on an individual basis with the following scores: 

  • IB High Level - score of 5, 6, or 7
  • AP - score of 4 or 5

We recognize, but are currently unable to grant credit for British "A" Levels, French Baccalaureate, German Abitur, and Swiss Maturite. Advanced standing is granted after students enroll and the official report of exam results is received and evaluated.
