Business Professionals Share Career Advice with Accounting Students

On April 17, 2002, the Providence College Accountancy Department sponsored a panel presentation, Beyond the Big 5:  Career Options in Accounting.  The panel consisted of area business professionals, several of whom are Providence College alumni, who all have an accounting background. The theme of the evening was that a background in accounting is very marketable and allows for many career options.  more. . .

Internships

Over the winter of 1998, I was fortunate enough to obtain an internship with Coopers and Lybrand, L.L.P. in Hartford, Connecticut.  This was undoubtedly one of the most educational experiences I have had related to my career at Providence College. During my brief two-week stay at Coopers I learned much about what it takes to be a CPA.   more. . .
