‚ÄčIf I Knew Then What I Know Now

Returning students had the opportunity to reflect and provide the Office of Academic Services with information that they wish they had known upon entering Providence College.  We hope that these tidbits of information may help you while at Providence College.

If I Knew Then What I Know Now, I Would...

  • Visit the Tutoring  Center as soon as possiblestudents_listening.jpg
  • Not procrastinate in studying or reading
  • Meet with my Professors as soon as possible
  • Buy my textbooks online
  • Get involved in a club/organization
  • Utilize the shuttle and explore the city of  Providence
  • Not stress out as much with my work
  • Put more thought into my class schedule for the next semester
  • Save more of my Slavin money and not spend it at the beginning of the semester
  • Take more classes that I was interested in
  • Get a school planner and keep it up to date
  • Keep my days as busy as possible
  • Do all my assigned readings prior to class
  • Avoid doing my homework in my dorm room
  • Sleep more
  • Meet more diverse people on campus
  • Ask for help before a small problem becomes a big problem
  • Take my core classes first and then take more electives afterwards
  • Try harder in D.W.C. because of how much weight it carries
  • Have more fun around campus
  • Try new things and don't be shy
  • Schedule time for myself
  • Try to study abroad
