Committee Charge:


Define “course syllabus” for Providence College. Articulate the purpose of syllabi, including their standard/required and optional elements and their proper availability/dissemination; identify audiences for course syllabi and the needs of/for each; create a single course syllabus template, or multiple templates, to guide syllabus development across the College. Workgroup decision-making should be guided by the evaluation of relevant research, as well as common and preferred practices related to syllabus development in higher education.
